Websites used to conduct research
There are many websites on the internet that can help you to find work, especially within digital media.
Here is a list of some of the websites that can be used to look for jobs:
these websites can be used to look for Permanent, Contract or Freelance jobs within the digital media sector.
About the websites
Creativepool.co.uk
Is a website that can be used to search for jobs. The kind of jobs that this websites specialises in is within the creative industry. You can search for jobs in advertising, design, media, publishing, print or web sectors.
This website hosts jobs from top companies that all specialise within the different sectors, all experts in the sector the respective companies specialize in.
Job searching on this website is simple as the layout of the webpage is simple and easy to navigate. The home page of the website has links to the latest jobs, peoples portfolio’s , social networking section and two search engines, one being a job search bar and the other can be used to search for members of the website. Most of the main pages are sorted into tabs at the top of the webpage.

Freelancer.co.uk

is a website that is used to hire freelancers and also help people who do freelance look for a job. The navigation of the website is similar to that of creativepool.co.uk as most of the webpages are handled in a tab like format. The website covers most of the information about it on its homepage.
The website is more of a useful one as not only can it help freelancers find work but can also help clients find freelancers to create the projects that the wish to make. Another useful feature of this website is that freelancers can post any project that they are currently working on, for example a website created in flash, as an example of what they are capable of doing, similar to a portfolio. Clients who wish to hire a freelancer can view the project that they have made and can hire them to create a project of their own.

Simplyhired.co.uk

Is basically a massive search engine that can be used to search for jobs, in any sector that’s categorized by the website. This website covers any type of job in the digital media sector, including every other sector for any other job type.
The layout of the website is as simplistic as you can get. The layout is very similar to that of Google with links to job finding websites in a list going down the screen with pages.
The website is useful and not so at the same time. It’s useful as you can search for any specific job that you want and is displayed on the page. It is also a useful way of searching for related websites when searching for a job. However it is also not useful at the same time as there is no way of applying for a job on the website, as there is only links that lead to other webpages.

FreelanceStudents.co.uk
This website is mainly for University students or graduates, which they can use to help them find jobs. This website is very basic in terms of style but still useful. Like the other websites listed above the website is constantly updated with information about job positions and as a place for companies to find freelancers.
